HTC S740 Video Review

with its lateral sliding keyboard and front number pad, making it easy to use as a traditional phone. The S740 is sold by importers and online retailers as a quad band unlocked GSM phone with EDGE and Euro-only 3G. The HTC S743 is the US version, though not offered by any US carrier and it’s sold by online retailers as well. It has US 3G HSDPA on AT&T’s 850/1900MHz bands and doesn’t support T-Mobile’s 3G bands.

Verdict?

A very attractive, feature-packed and cool Windows Mobile smartphone. It might not be cheap, but it doesn’t require a contract either. The only thing we didn’t like is the microSD card slot which is located under the SIM card slot. That means you have to reboot the phone to remove or insert a microSD card.
